EVERY single time i watch this, i cry.

Dude, legit.

This is beautiful. I feel like I’m standing on a soapbox lately but here’s another soapbox moment:

LU. SLD. I had counseled girls through everything, you name it and I had a girl that was recovering or was questioning just about anything in the book. And then I had a girl. Who broke my heart. She was “experienced” lets just say. And she was talking to this guy. While through their talking phase he learned that she had “experience”. And he was disgusted. How dare she, he said. I don’t know if I could be with someone like you. And she was heartbroken torn up and felt used and abused by this previous relationship and the guy that she was talking to now was basically affirming these feelings. But what the guy failed to remember is that we are all BRAND NEW when we meet Christ, he paid for ALL of our sins, and has made us PURE. I drilled into her head for an hour telling her she wasn’t used and she was beautiful but some guys at LU make those that are “experienced” make sure that the girl knows that what they did was trashy and thats what they are. The girl and I eventually had to not be friends due to some issues, but I will never forget that night of her sobbing and saying I am used goods.

Another experience, I was apart of a conversation at Lu with a guy talking about this girl he had been dating, it was an odd time to bring up a conversation like that but it wasn’t going to go far, but he said that he had loved her until he realized she had been a “floozy”. He said he was heartbroken and broke up with her the next day because of her past.

Jesus can see past that. Jesus doesn’t see that broken rose, because God had designed the rose for beauty, God’s hand was in the creation of his beauty, and no matter what condition it was in, it was still a rose. Hebrews 10:10 “and by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ once and for all.”

So men. The women that you are to pursue is a holy woman created by Christ and are fearfully and wonderfully made.

BETTER THAN A DREAM

I wrote this song about a woman in the Bible named Rahab. She had been used, played, lied to and taken advantage of. We don’t know how old she was when she became a prostitute, but her life was a miserable nightmare. She dreamed that somewhere, someone would actually love her for who she was. At some point, she heard that there was a Living God who loved nobodies like her. She threw caution to the wind and believed in Him. God rescued her from a great destruction and she became part of the family tree that brought Jesus into the world. It turns out that God’s plan for her was even better than her wildest dreams.

This song is for anyone who feels used, rejected and miserable. Go ahead and dream about what God could do for you, knowing that He loves you and wants to do way more than even your dreams…

"The Bible never says that a ’real man’ must go hunting, or play football at some time in his life, or change the oil in his truck, or spend some time every weekend at Home Depot buying fix-it items. If someone were to define such activities — suitably arranged in a checklist — as the essence of true masculinity, then we would be justified to laugh him right out of the room. Such a person would argue that Lord Nelson wasn’t a true naval hero because he never learned to salute the right way. And Caesar never changed the oil in his chariot either. Nevertheless, in any given culture certain masculine roles will necessarily be assigned, and those boys and men who are embracing their masculinity rightly will gladly assume those roles.” (44–45)"

Text

So I moved my things into my new place yesterday, its a little bigger than I had but the funny thing is the wardrobe it has this mirror thing going on which is kinda cool, I think the best thing though is that Im moving much closer to church so I’ll be able to attend all the youth meetings on Mondays and Youth nights on Friday if Im not reffing.

I also picked up my guitar again and feel the need to start playing or practicing, Im not very good but I enjoy strumming a few chords and humming. Ive always loved the instrument. The thing is people usually think that if you play your aiming for the big crowds or major audiences, but I always just wanted to play in small groups like with family or life group. I love it but its not really my thing if you know what I mean, Im not saying that in any pessimistic way but I think alot of chaos in our lives could be cleared but realising what you are called for, whats your purpose?

Ultimately it is to glorify Christ through whatever gifts or talents his blessed us with, and everything  we do should point people in that direction. Unfortunately not all possess the same gifts, and its hard for others to realise that.

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;….” (1Cor12:4-)

My point»> dont feel bad when it seems like you dont have anything to add in your youth group forget those who measure themselves or find value in there gifts or how well they preach, sing or pray the walls down, yours is to realise this, you are made in the image of God thats where your value lies, not in your looks not in your clothes or the company you keep. Your value is in this»>

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Gen 1:27)
